MAISON HOTEL Petrolina is on Praça Pio XII, in the centre of Petrolina, in the interior of Pernambuco, on the banks of the São Francisco river. The city forms twin urban areas with neighbouring Juazeiro, in Bahia, connected by bridges over the river.
Petrolina is one of Brazil's main hubs for irrigated fruit farming, known for mango and grape production, and for the wine industry developed in the São Francisco Valley, one of the country's newest and fastest-growing wine regions.
