This accommodation is near Avenida Naciones Unidas, in Quito, the capital of Ecuador, one of the highest-altitude cities in the world, in the Ecuadorian Andes. Quito's historic centre, with its well-preserved collection of churches and colonial buildings, was one of the first sites designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in 1978.

A few kilometres north of the city stands the Mitad del Mundo monument, marking the equatorial line that gives the country its name.
