Hotel vitoria is on Highway RO-133, in Machadinho D'Oeste, in the state of Rondônia. The municipality, in the western Brazilian Amazon, was created out of an agroforestry colonisation project, one of the first to combine family farming with forest preservation.
The local economy today rests on family farming, cattle raising and sustainable forest management initiatives, reflecting the transition of a region historically marked by gold extraction toward a more diversified model of rural development.
